In the Eye of the Believer

What is the True Faith? What is the True Religion? What is the True God? Is there a True God? These heady questions were brought up recently in a discussion with an on-line friend.

Every religion & faith claims that it is the True Religion & that its God is the True God. They cite their Bible, Koran, Torah or sacred texts as empirical proof to their claims. They cite the admonitions from their prophets & holy men that to deny their God is a guarantee to damnation.

Each religion has had its share of holy wars to reinforce its beliefs upon the heathens & heretics. Each religion has shown extreme impatience with those who do not follow the word of their God & in response sent those infidels immediately to a meeting with their God.

It is plainly obvious that not all religions can be the True Religion. Either only one is right or they are all wrong. One raised Catholic may make light of or snicker at the Muslim's beliefs. Yet take that same Catholic as an infant & raise it in the Islamic religion & it will be just as fervently Islamic as it is in its Catholic beliefs. Rear a child to believe in reincarnation then rear that same child to believe otherwise & the rationale for each belief can be easily argued by that child.

The problem with believing in ones' religion is that one is required to rely on ancient text which of itself is rooted in oral storytelling, anecdotes & hearsay. Events occurred long before there was a written way to collect & compile them. When the text was indeed compiled, it was compiled by men, men who infused it, edited it & censored it with their own prejudices, interpretations, inaccuracies, contradictions & mistranslations. The final compilation is more "heard of God" than "Word of God".

Each religious text that is derived from such a hodgepodge of story-telling & fact-gathering cannot claim to be the one True Religion, more than any other religion can.

So where does this leave us in the Religibot battles? It leaves us with no clear winner. Each religion has its adherents & believers who have no greater claim to the Divine than any other. It all comes down to ones personal beliefs, whether it is rightly or wrongly held as others may see it.

Perhaps all religions are mere permutations of a one True God. Like playing the game of Telephone, the message distorts the further away from The Source. Or, as a two-dimensional being cannot conceive of or explain a three-dimensional being, so too humans are at a loss to conceive of or explain an Ultimate Being & are thus reduced to explaining such a concept in terms that are understandable to men.

When Pharaoh returned from the Red Sea destruction of his army, he said of Moses, "His god is God." Until the appointed time that such similar revelation occurs to mankind, we can only keep the faith that we hold, claim the beliefs that we believe & respect the beliefs of others.

Religion truly is in the eye of the believer.

Gollllyy, Gomer, here's todays funnier side of the news - Newsmax found a 1994 tv interview with Bill & Hitlary in which she claims she tried to join the Marines. This has to be the funniest thing ever heard on national tv. She even said it with a straight face. Seated beside her husband, the former first lady recounted her military experience.

"Gee, now it was probably 19 years ago - in 1975," Mrs. Clinton recalled. "I decided that I was very interested in having some experience in serving in some capacity in the military."

"Because we all love the military so much," Mr. Clinton interjected helpfully (who said he "loathed" the military in his draft dodging days).

Hillary resumed: "So I walked into our local recruiting office, and I think it was just my bad luck that the person who happened to be there on duty could not have been older than 21. He was in perfect physical shape." She remembered telling the recruiter, "I wanted to explore - I didn't know whether I thought active duty would be a good idea, reserve, you know, maybe National Guard, something along those lines."

"This young man looked at me and he said, 'How old are you?'" she recalled.
"I said, 'Well, 27' ... I had these really thick glasses on.
"He said, 'How bad's your eyesight?'
"I said, 'It's pretty bad.'
"And he said, 'How bad?'
"So I told him.
"He said, 'That's pretty bad.'
"And he finally said to me, he said: 'You're too old. You can't see. And you're a woman.' And then he went on ... this man, young man, was a Marine.
"He said, 'But maybe the dogs [Army] would take you.'"

This is such an enormous lie by Hitlary that we think she is in serious need of psychological services. We won't even go into the merits of her claim. With these type whoppers it would be a fun 4 years of lying through her teeth if she were President. What a rag she is. But thank God she didn't join the Marines - she coulda been killed; then where would we be without the smartest woman in the world. Geesh - God help us.

Beauty & the Beasts: Toronto Bans Miss Universe While Gays Can Marry

Toronto city officials told the Tastes of Thailand festival organizers that Miss Universe, 23-year-old Canadian Natalie Glebova, could only appear if she was not introduced as Miss Universe and if she did not wear her tiara and sash. Though miffed, she reluctantly complied with city regulations.

City regulations? Yes - it seems Toronto, that Mecca for socialism, homosexual rights & the new Amsterdam of North America, has a regulation banning such outrageous behavior. The regulation prohibits activities which degrade men and women through sexual stereotypes or exploit their bodies to attract attention. The looney Left strikes yet another blow for idiocy. We guess the ACLU has not yet established their Canadian branch or they would be all over this one. Would you ban this? Their town council probably consists of very old, ugly lesbians.

Canada Legalizes Same-sex Marriage

So let's get this straight (pun intended) - a beautiful woman cannot wear a tiara or sash because it would degrade men & women. But people with sexually deviant behavior -aka homosexuality - can legally marry each other. Hmmmm. As one commentator aptly put it:

Toronto is so deeply involved in sniffing the underwear of the Gay Pride / Gay Marriage / Gay Universe voters, er, citizens that heterosexuals can simply take a hike; hence the focus on 'gender stereotyping'. A man wearing a g-string in Nathan Phillips Square would be worshipped, as long as he declared his homosexuality. In fact, a man dressed as Miss Universe would be given a royal reception by our Socialist Mayor and his minions. It's all about what they used to say about Arafat -- Toronto never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Had Miss Universe worn a bandolero instead of her sash, and shouted "Death to America!", the bureaucrats would have remained mum. Or possibly if she had had sex with another woman on stage.Toronto is a ringside seat at a train wreck.

That's Canada for you. The same Canada whose hockey crowds boo when the "Star-Spangled Banner" is played. The same Canada whose Canadian Broadcasting Corporation refuses to use the word "terrorist" in its reports (touchy-feely make nice policy ya know).

We never liked Canadian bacon & thought their hockey sucked. And, egads, they even have French up there! Canada would be perfect for our nuclear waste stockpiles.

Judge John Roberts Nominated for SCOTUS

President Bush tonight nominated Judge John Roberts, who is on the Court of Appeals of the District of Columbia ,to become the next Supreme Court Justice.

We know somewhat of Robert's background, but not a lot. Initially, this looks like a fine choice. Roberts is a solid conservative & Republican. His speeches at the Federalist Society are a good marker as to where he stands in regards to the Constitution & application of the law.

Bush has remained faithful to the...well, faithful. There will be no consensus choice as the Democrats wanted.

The winners in this are Roberts (naturally), Bush, the Constitution & the American public. The whiners are soon to be the Democrats, the abortion crowd, the femi-nazis & the other odd assortment of lib-nuts.

Now we will see if the Dems & their cohorts pull out all the stops & go into a nasty, smearing anti-Roberts campaign. We expect the shrill histrionics from the abortion crowd, screaming that backdoor abortions will result in Robert's confirmation & the feminists shouting blah, blah, blah. We expect the same from Ted-never-a-drink-refused-Kennedy who performed his own life termination procedure on a 28 year old 36 years ago.

It was 36 years ago today that Ted-I'll have-another-Kennedy drove his watermobile into the bay, thereby killing a young woman. Which reminds us of his audacity( besides covering his butt in the accident) when he questioned Senator Towers at Towers confirmation hearings for Secretary of Defense. Ted-the fun-drunk had the nerve to ask Towers, "Senator, is it true you have a drinking problem?" We think the wrong person got out alive. Just think - no Ted around to buy drinks for.

If not so deadly serious it would be comical: suicide bombings are called "sacred explosions" by the Islamic terrorists. It harkens back to the famous "Holy Hand Grenade" of Monty Python fame.

NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League) is the preeminent & arguably the most powerful pro-abortion group in the country. To help with their fight against federal funding for abstinence programs, they decided to hold a "Screw Abstinence Party." As their flyer proclaims, "Throw your hands up and say it loud: "Screw Abstinence!!!” What their objection to abstinence is puzzles us, unless their line of thought is that less pregnancies mean less NARAL-referred abortion services. Or they could just be a group of self-serving frustrated hags who fear that abstinence will reduce their chances to score with the opposite sex, not that the opposite sex is really interested in frustrated hags to begin with.

Whatever their reason, it is nice to know that they are a coven of classy ladies in the manner with which they express themselves.

A Country Unto Themselves

The estimated illegal population in the USA ranges from 11 million to 20 million & growing rapidly. If these numbers are compared to the population of countries throughout the world, the results are stunning.

An 11 million illegal population is larger than 154 of the 227 recognized countries. Larger than Greece, Portugal, Hungary, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Israel, Jordan, Ireland, New Zealand, Belgium, Kuwait...well, you get the idea.

A 20 million illegal population is larger than 175 of the 227 recognized countries. It is tied with Australia, larger than the above countries & larger than Syria, The Netherlands, Guatemala, Chile, Cambodia, Ecuador, Cuba...well, you get the idea.

Ten to twenty percent of Mexico is...well, illegally in the USA!

Twenty five percent of births in the USA are now to foreign born mothers.

Population growth in the USA is now primarily due to immigration, legal & illegal. At current growth rates the projected USA population in 2050 will be 400 million.

Houston...we have problem here.

Michael Moore's Minutemen

Michael Moore, sweetheart of the Lib-nuts & honored guest at the Dem convention, had likened the "insurgency" in Iraq to the American Minutemen of the Revolutionary War: Patriotic Iraqis fighting the American invaders & oppressors.

Today, as dozens of gleeful Iraqi children gathered about American soldiers who were handing out candy, one of these "Minutemen" aimed a car into the children & exploded a bomb, killing the "patriot" & at least 16 children.

Michael Moore can go to Hell - the sooner, the better. We will gleefully celebrate his passing & thank Providence for his timely demise.

As for the "patriot" who died defending Iraq from children fully armed with candy; he will be there to greet his compatriot, Michael Moore, at the gate.

Something is terribly wrong with Islam. Something is terribly wrong with a religion that breeds the likes of beheaders & car bombers & so many fanatics. Our soldiers handle the Koran with gloves on & play the "respect" game. Yet this same Koran, that Muslims demand we respect, spews forth bile, hate & violence. In other parts, the Koran proclaims peace & love. There is a schism here that needs to be rectified. Otherwise the Islamic religion is a deficient religion which will forever breed the likes of Michael Moore's Minutemen.

Julianne Malveaux should be known to most who watch news shows on tv. She defended Bill Clinton's oral sex romps to the hilt at that time. She is a strident lib-nut Dem. Besides being a lib-nut she is also high up on the ugly-as-sin list, a regular hag. Excuse us, we mean Dr. Julianne Malveaux, because she apparently got a Phd in Economics from some affirmative action diversity university. More than likely she paid someone $500 for the honor. It would have been better spent on cosmetic surgery. Nevertheless, besides the networks constantly putting her face on tv, she also has written books on race & has written columns for USA Today & other papers. She also happens to be black. And female (we're guessing here).

We give this preface so you understand where she's coming from with her comments on the Sean Hannity program. In the interview, she accused soldiers of beating the detainees at Guantanamo, despite any facts out there to prove that. She was asked if the US is a terrorist nation & she responded, "Oh, Absolutely." "Terrorism in the United States is as old as we are." In an insinuation that were deserved the 911 attack, the hag said, "The chickens have come home to roost." When questioned if this was a good country she said, "We're a country." This so-called educated Phd then went on about the Iraq War & WMD's & said, "You know they weren't there. I know they weren't there. George W. Bush is evil. He is a terrorist. He is evil. He is arrogant. And he is out of control."

Who is out of control? This "Phd" or George Bush? We cannot believe that the news media put this reprehensible loud-mouth lout on tv to air her opinions. She is as radicalized as they come. But, in the Democrat gene pool she is just another normal member.

Hitlery Clinton, the old bag, recently likened Bush to Alfred E. Neuman, the cartoon icon of Mad Magazine. Rep. Maxine Waters called Bush a liar & Cheney a thief. Sen. Harry Reid called Bush a "loser" in front of school children. Ted-I-only killed-one-woman-Kennedy likens him to Hitler. Sen. Durbin likens Guantanamo to Nazis & gulags. And on & on with the slurs from the Democrats. They haven't the decency to have honest debate & differences without the ad hominems. They are the worst bunch of hand-wringing name-callers we have ever seen. They are, in fact, reprehensible gutter rats & do not deserve the positions they hold.

The scary part is that these clowns really believe the bilge they foam out. For public figures to believe that Bush is a terrorist or Cheney is a thief, demonstrates that irrationality is in-grained in them & in the Democrat party. But it doesn't stop there.

The news media, with the likes of the New York Times leading the way, trashes Bush & distorts or misleads the facts. They have no problem managing the news to fit their agenda & the hell with the truth & to hell with journalistic integrity & faithfulness to their readers. But don't you dare criticize these elitist rags. Recently, an Op-Ed piece in the NYT included a quote from its author that in fact was put there by an editor. The author never made such a statement. The quote gave the impression that the author had some problems with the Iraq War. The NYT said it was a mistake. Right. They should change their slogan from "All the news that's fit to print" to "All the news we print that fits." So much for elitist ethics.

The likes of Malveaux, the Dems & the NYT are no friends to American interests foreign or domestic. They deserve a good caning.

This is London Calling: Barbarians at the Gate

The terrorist bombings in London earlier this morning have reinforced a few notions. The first is that the War on Terror is long term & must be a global enterprise. The terrorists will strike anywhere; no nation is immune. This war against terrorists must be allied with as many nations as possible. It is not a time for any country to shirk from intimidation, as the Spanish did after the train bombings in Madrid.

The second is that the terrorists are exactly that - terrorists. They are not the equivalent of our Minutemen, as the deluded pig Michael Moore says or freedom fighters, as others have suggested. They have no government in exile, they have no singular, cohesive political form. They are a loose knit group of radical Islamic fundamentalists whose only relationship to each other is their fanaticism & hatred of the West. They are the barbarians of the 21st century. They are a collection of depraved psychotics & sociopaths who have as much human feelings for their intended innocent victims as they would for a cockroach. Such is the mind of a sociopath. No guilt, no remorse, no feelings except hate - just squash whoever gets in the way of their sick ideas.

This leads to the logical follow up. There is only one way to stop the human debris of terrorists & fanatics - kill them; ruthlessly & without mercy. As many & as quickly as can be killed. This is no time to be giving terrorist prisoners at Guantanamo lemon-butter fish or Mullah-approved Arab delicacies. It is no time to be treating their Korans in a way that reaffirms their belief that we are infidels: by the ridiculous notion of our soldiers wearing gloves when they handle the Koran, we are telling these fanatics that we are not worthy in God's eye, we are indeed what they believe we are. There comes a time when a civilized society does in fact need to temporarily put aside its niceties & stoop to the level of its enemies.

It is beyond time that the Congress & the President get serious about our wide open southern borders. Despite what they say, the southern borders are like a sieve. Thousands of men from European, Asian & Middle Eastern countries (including countries on our terrorist-nation list) have crossed that border, been arrested, given a notice to appear in court, then released - only to disappear into our population. God knows who the ones are that weren't caught. This ridiculous & incompetent policy will be the cause of the next 911.

It is beyond time for the likes of Senator Durbin, Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid & the rest of the Democratic leadership to shut their traps & start supporting the war. From the third day after the Iraq War began they have been calling it a quagmire, they have been berating Bush every chance they get, they have been picking apart & mouthing off about every little perceived failure on our part. They have not been cheerleading our fight against the terrorists. They haven't come close to putting as much energy into speaking out against the terrorists & the "insurgents" & the chaos they are trying to create. The Democrats along with the mainstream news media are the summer soldiers & sunshine patriots that Thomas Paine spoke about. But we would go one step further & call them borderline traitors. At the very least, they are not serving this country nor its citizens well. Through their words they are helping, encouraging, the terrorists & fanactics.

Our sympathies go out to the British. They have been a steadfast ally in the War on Terror & they will continue to be one.

The Flawed Psyche of Arabs

One looks to Iraq, Israel & to a lesser extent other countires & sees the car bombings, suicide attacks, beheadings, the bullets to the head - all on innocent citizens - & one wonders what the hell is wrong with the Arab/Muslim psyche?

What the hell is wrong in the mind of a suicide bomber, knowing he is not only going to kill himself, but men, women & children? What the hell is wrong in the mind of the car bomber? What the hell is wrong in the mind of a sword wielding killer who is in the process of committing the gruesome beheading of an innocent captive? What the hell is wrong in the mind of the person who sends a child out with a bomb to kill & be killed or to dupe a Downs Syndrome person to drive a bomb-laden car into a crowd? Americans are not their only target, but their own citizens or fellow Muslims as well.

No where on the face of the planet is the collection of brutal, ruthless killers of innocents so concentrated as it currently is in the Arab/Muslim lands. Though we understand that the vast majority of Arabs & Muslims are not of this ilk, it still stands that far too many are committing atrocities for it to be anything other than a psychological flaw, a character flaw or cultural flaw within them. If we take into account the supporters & cheerleaders of these killers, then we see a significant jump in the number of Arabs & Muslims who are flawed in their psyche.

So what is the reason behind this personality flaw or character flaw or call it what you will? The absolute fanaticism, savagery & the hatred are derived from somewhere. The natural will of self-preservation is subjugated to something else. The natural inclination to be sickened by slaughter is assuaged because of something else. Is it genetic? Are all Arabs & Muslims born with a "killer" or "fanaticism" gene? We think not.

We believe humans world-wide are born equally capable of good or evil. We believe it has more to do with conditioning than anything inherent in genes. So what type of conditioning?

Three things come to mind; tribal mentality, hundreds of years of repressive governing & the Islamic religion. Tribal conflict & tribal warfare are long held givens in Arab culture, especially when there were no central or established governments to rein them in. Bloody feuds lead to bloody mindsets. Fierce tribalism has grown into fierce nationalism among many Arabs.

Repressive governing authority is a staple in Arab lands & always has been. There is no democracy, no free thinking. You do not see great Arab thinkers of the likes of Thomas Jefferson or John Adams espousing the ideals of liberty & human rights. Instead, brutal suppression & punishment have been the mainstay of Arab governments. Many Arab governments are anti-Western & fan the flames of hatred amongst its citizens.

The Islamic religion, however, has been the main driving force behind the fanaticism & brutality. The Koran has a dichotomy about it that can bring one down the road to peace or the road to brutality. It is wide open to interpretation as to which road one can travel. Islam is sufficiently lacking in moral absolutes that the more extreme & fanatical of believers pick & parse those parts of it that justify their extremism & brutality. But why Islam can breed so many slavishly devoted extremist followers in the first place is better answered elsewhere in some Doctoral thesis or study.

We think Arabs also are of a mindset that precludes true introspection. It is the infidel or the foreigner that has been demonized by them & that is the focus of their rage. In the Arab's case, the fault lies not within themselves, but in the stars.

In a poor analogy of the collective conditioning of the Arab mind, if you were raised from birth to always carry an open umbrella & all your family & friends did it & the whole of society did it, then it is the norm. In fact, you don't give it a second thought. The person seen with a closed umbrella or none at all is the infidel, the heretic, the outsider. They are to be given scorn, rehabilitation or retribution. There is little room for tolerance.

Tribalism, nationalism, repressive anti-Western government & Islam have combined to bring out the worse in many Arabs. It harkens back to the Middle Ages & Christiandom & the brutality of those times. Western civilization has since "gentrified". Maybe the only thing that will change the mindset of many Arabs is a slow process of gentrification. It took Western civilization centuries. However, in the Arab case, they & the world cannot wait centuries.

Sandra Day A' Gonnor

Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Sandra Day O'Connor has announced her retirement. Appointed by Reagan as the first woman to serve on the Supreme Court, O'Connor has been less than the full conservative she was expected to be on the court.

The focus is now on her replacement. This is a grand opportunity for Bush to reinstate a strict constructionist conservative to the court. The Democrats meanwhile are preparing for war; total, unrelenting vicious war over Bush's choice if he does select a conservative. Though they promised to filibuster only in extreme circumstances, any judge Bush picks who is to the right of Ted Kennedy will be considered fair filibuster game.

If Bush picks a consensual candidate - aka - moderate - then the Dems will go easy. Otherwise, expect this to get nasty & prolonged. Does the word "Bork" bring back memories?

Maxine Waters (D. Ca): Loud Mouth Pig & Ugly as Sin

Ultra-leftist Maxine Waters spoke at a Rainbow Push Convention (Jesse Jackson's sugar daddy) & called Bush a liar & Dick Cheney a "thief" for stealing for Halliburton. Naturally, the crowd, which are all members of intellectually-challenged DUMBSA, gave her a standing ovation.

First, we have to admire her for being one of the ugliest homo sapiens on this planet. It looks like someone took an axe to "Max". If she's ever in need of a good scare it only takes a trip to the mirror. Despite the handicap of being pitifully & brutally ugly, she managed to rise to the top, like effluvia in a commode, thanks in great part to her equally intelligent constituents.

Her slurs against Bush & Cheney come as no surprise & are understandable since she is lacking in the brain department. Her rants are compensation for lack of smarts. But as is amply demonstrated on record with the Democrats, most of them seem to suffer from her affliction. Dem leader Harry Reid calls Bush a "loser" - this from their leadership. They liken Bush to Hitler, call him dumb & continually trash him. Let's not forget the on-going slanders from Howard "The Scream" Dean - another Dem leader. Since they are bankrupt of any ideas to put forward for the country they resort to name-calling for the whole world to hear.

Democrats have reduced themselves to shrill, hysterical little-minded people. They lack giving the respect due to a sitting President, whatever their differences with him & they lack the aplomb you would expect from a Representative or Senator. They think the meaning of the word "dignified" is "ground that has been shovled." This is why they will be marginalized in every election. They should put their campaign money in their mouth & stifle it. The rest of the world gets CNN too & hears the trash-talking Dems. They are not serving this country well by denigrating the President.

Maxine Waters is known for outrageous statements, but not known for having any brains. If someone has a document that can prove she is more than a half-wit, please forward it to Dan Rather.
