The most recent Gallup Poll has Bush up 8 points: 52-44
The most recent Newsweek Poll has Bush up 6 points: 50-44
The Rasmussen Poll has Bush up 2 points

Yes. Lots of on-line polls have been hacked into. I can find you polls with even more lopsided margins in favor of Kerry. Phone polls are showing a dead heat at the moment. And the Electoral Vote count on your own site shows a lead for Kerry today.

Where in the post do I mention on-line polls? They are notoriouly invalid. We are talking mainstream media polls here.

The mainstream media polls that I see are mostly calling it a dead heat. Some have a Kerry lead. Some have a Bush lead. Why only quote the ones showing Bush ahead?

And by the way - the Electoral Vote count on your site is in Kerry's favor today - by a large margin. Tomorrow it may change and the next day change again. The problem is that the pollsters are not really sure of what the election turnout will be and the exact demographics of the voters.
